Great article. The Rockies are one of the finest examples to young baseball players about the right way to play the game. As a coach, I am very comfortable in using the Rockies to show my younger players the proper way to conduct themselves on the field. They have credibility in this arena, which carries over to how faith and sport interact. In this instance, the ability God has blessed them with will open the dialogue about Christ.

Hi. I liked your article. It seems like the Rockies are a Christian team that is reluctant to be labeled as such. I think that they are afraid to seem intolerant to non-Christians if they take a stance. They kind of seem like MLB’s version of the Colts, but I wish that they would take more of an advantage of the platform given to them with their success, like the Colts did when they won the Super Bowl (i.e. Tony Dungy, Hunter Smith, etc.). Maybe they will if they keep going this October–so far so good! Keep up the good work!
